Namakwali started in 2018, from the foothills of the majestic Himalayan province of Uttarakhand. 

 

The women of different regions of Uttarakhand came together & joined their skilled hands on the traditional "silbatta" (Stone grinder) to introduce their ancestral recipes of different flavoured salt to the world & take their family legacy forward. 

 

They handpicked every herb & spice from the high altitude of the Uttarakhand Himalayan range, which is full of health benefits, nutrition & 100% organic.

 

The process of making this ancestral salt is delightful itself from handpicking every ingredient to sitting together in the courtyard of their homes grinding the salt with a pinch of laughter, a spoonful of traditional songs, a handful of love while packing for you, so when you open them you feel the tenderness & love of home.

These Incredible women didn't stop there, they wanted to share more and more of their ancestral recipes with the people who love our Uttarakhandi flavours. They introduce other fully organically grown products which are cultivated by using conventional methods & no use of chemicals or harmful fertilisers.

Namakwali aims to provide all these incredibly healthy, organic & unique flavours of Himalayan villages to their consumers across the globe.
